As UFC 189 draws closer and closer the UFC Embedded crew captures the last few days of the men who look to claim championship gold in what should be a historic night at the MGM in Las Vegas. Embedded has brought us unprecedented behind the scenes access in the lead up to UFC 189 and these last few episodes do a great job of wrapping it all up by going all the way to the weigh ins where the fighters finally square off in front of more than 11,000 fans.

Episode 8:

Conor McGregor shows off some of his luxurious possessions and gets some new custom suits. The fighters participate in the open workouts and interact with the fans and media. Then some trash talking highlights between Mendes and McGregor during the UFC 189 press conference.

Episode 9:

It is UFC International Fight Week in Las Vegas and some of the UFC's biggest stars have gathered at the UFC pool party where they make predictions for the night championship main event. Fighters prepare for the weigh ins and things get rowdy when 11,000 people show up to watch the intense stare down between Chad Mendes and Conor McGregor.

With the biggest pay-per-view event of the year around the corner, the UFC is pulling out all the promotional stops to ensure that UFC 189 is a success. Rolling out an eventual 10 episodes of its hit YouTube series UFC Embedded, we get an unprecedented all-access behind the scenes look at fighters in the two championships bouts as they prepare for the biggest fight of their lives.

 

Episode 1 

The biggest UFC stars gather in NYC to debut the new Reebok FightKit. It is announced Jose Aldo will no longer defend his title due to a broken rib and Chad Mendes will take his place in the main event of UFC 189. 

 

 

 

 

 

Episode 2

Things get heated as Conor McGregor and Chad Mendes exchange verbal barbs on a media call promoting their fight. Uriah Faber makes an appearance to talk up his friend and training partner Mendes.
 

 



 

 

Episode 3

McGregor travels to Los Angeles and appears on Conan. Chad Mendes get put on blast when Chael Sonnen tweets out his phone number. Mendes does some recovery in the cryotherapy center.

 

 



 

 

Episode 4

Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald go over details in their training before heading out to Las Vegas. Chad Mendes goes swimming and Conor McGregor gets a massage.
 

 

 



 

 

Episode 5

McGregor and Mendes continue to train hard even on the 4th of July holiday. They still make time for some fun though as Mendes gets some time on the lake with team Alpha Male and McGregor watches fireworks with his team from his mansion in Las Vegas.
 

 

 

 

 

 

Episode 6

Chad Mendes shows off his collection of wild game meat and his chicken coop. McGregor relaxes in a hot tub and has some fun with a soccer ball. Rory Macdonald does some final game planning and welterweight champion Robbie Lawler arrives in Las Vegas ready to defend his title.

 

 



 

 

 

Episode 7

Conor McGregor picks up some new diamonds and hangs with some fans at a high end jewelry shop in Vegas. Chad Mendes' flight to Las Vegas gets postponed while Rory Macdonald arrives and relaxes in his hotel off the strip. The rest of the fighters from UFC 189 begin to arrive and sign promotional posters while McGregor scopes out the scene of the weigh ins.
